Rhassoul Clay (Red Moroccan Clay):

Rhassoul Clay is a brown colored cosmetic clay. It is naturally occurring and found in the ancient lake beds of Morocco’s Atlas Mountains. It has a rich mineral content such as magnesium, silica, potassium, and calcium. It has been utilized all over the world in spas and soaps, skincare and haircare products for its therapeutic benefits. 

Rhassoul Clay use may help reduces redness, improves complexion, firm the skin, helps maintain natural skin oil balance making it useful for dry or flaky skin. It is also a gentle exfoliator and good for all skin types.

Ways to incorporate Rhassoul Clay into your skincare routine: 

  • Face Mask: Combine enough water and Rhassoul Clay to make a paste thin enough to spread on the face. You can substitute rose water or your favorite hydrosol for the water.

Precautions when using Rhassoul Clay:

Use caution with Rhassoul Clay is you are sensitive to magnesium or other metallic elements. 

If you have inflamed skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema or chronic skin conditions use caution with Rhassoul Clay as it can draw impurities and oils out of the skin and may cause these inflammatory skin conditions to dry out. 

Discontinue use if you notice and inflammation or dry itchy skin after use. 

Rhassoul Clay should never be used internally.
